John Wong - Advisor
John Wong studied at the Technical University of Delft where he gained a masters degree (Civil Engineering - specialization building physics). He also received his MSc degree in Business Administration at the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
After his studies he started his career at ABN Bank in the Netherlands. In the Planning and Control department (a department advising at board level), he specialized in strategy and organizational consultancy. His next move was to the Special Credits Department of ABN Bank.
In 1992 he joined the private equity business at ABN AMRO in Amsterdam. Here John focused on equity and mezzanines in small and medium sized companies in all industry sectors. Gradually the focus moved more towards information technology. When in 2000 the private equity sections were grouped to ABN AMRO Capital, John became part of the IT team investing in promising IT companies in western Europe. His activities concentrated on managing and realizing exits of portfolio companies and he has held several board positions. Since 2006, after he has resigned from ABN AMRO Bank N.V., he is an independent advisor to a number of private equity funds. At Nedamco Capital he is holding some board positions abroad.
